Let’s Do This!

It’s almost impossible to make changes to tissues by rolling them. In fact, a published study showed that to stretch the IT Band just 1% you’d need over 2000 pounds of force.

This is the same protocol that I have used in my Physical Therapy clinic to help 100s of runners with IT Band syndrome get back to running pain-free. In fact, I used it myself when I struggled with IT Band pain Years ago. However, this is a general program and injuries can be complex, there is no guarantee that this will fix your issue.

10-12 weeks. Tissue healing takes approximately 10-12 weeks for optimal recovery and this protocol/program is formatted around that standard.

Access to a treadmill is helpful for uphill walking if you currently have enough pain that you can’t run. Also, a medium-weight set of dumbbells is useful in the later weeks.

You can get rid of IT Band pain for good.

It might seem like IT band issues are an impossible mountain to climb, but it is possible to run without IT band issues popping up all the time.
